Henry Berling
Partner
Henry founded Sparkstone Capital Advisors in 2018, and was previously a Managing Director at KPMG Corporate Finance, where he led the firm’s energy investment banking practice. Prior to KPMG, Henry was a Senior Managing Director at Ewing Bemiss & Company, a boutique investment bank focused on the energy industry. Prior to Ewing Bemiss, he was a supervising tax consultant at KPMG Peat Marwick.Â
Henry is a graduate of Villanova University (BSÂ in Accountancy with Honors) and is a certified public accountant.
Miro Lazarov
Partner
Miro founded Sparkstone Capital Advisors in 2018, and was previously a Managing Director at KPMG Corporate Finance. He has nearly 20 years of experience leading oil and gas service M&A and capital raising transactions. Prior to KPMG, Miro was a Managing Director at D.A. Davidson & Company and a Director at McGladrey Captial Markets, where he gained significant cross-boarder transaction experience.Â
Miro is a graduate of California State University, Northridge (BS in Finance and Economics, summa cum laude).
Brent Belding
Partner
Brent founded Sparkstone Capital Advisors in 2018, and was previously a Director at KPMG Corporate Finance, where he was an investment banker in the energy group. Prior to KPMG, Brent was a Director at Ewing Bemiss & Company, a boutique investment bank focused on the energy industry. Brent began his career in product development for Guidant Corporation, a publicly-traded medical device company.
Brent is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (BE Biomedical Engineering, cum laude) and Duke University (MBA).
Clint Schexnayder
Senior Associate
Clint joined Sparkstone from Shamrock Energy Solutions, where he served as Assistant General Counsel. Shamrock was a Houma, Louisiana-based oilfield services company that was acquired by Danos, Inc. in 2019.
Clint was involved in all aspects of contract negotiation for the company and provided legal advice to senior management as needed.
Clint is a graduate of Nicholls State University (BA), the Southern University Law Center (JD), and Tulane University (MBA in Finance).
Dotun Awosemo
Associate
Dotun joined Sparkstone from LBC Energy Advisory, an energy-focused boutique investment bank based in London.
Prior to that, Dotun held a number of geoscience positions in the oil and gas industry with companies such as Shell, Rock Solid Images, Sigma3, and FracGeo.
A native of Nigeria, Dotun is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (BS Geology, first class honors), the University of Houston (MS, Geophysics), and the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester (MBA).
